No kidding. When I contracted scarlet fever as a 6 year-old, I was put in isolation - nowadays people hardly know what you're talking about when you mention that illness.
There was one of those shrill anti-medicine people on the TV a bit back, and my jaw dropped a foot when she said "Measles is harmless!" What luxury, that we can forget how bad disease used to be!
